Police are seeking witnesses to an assault on a road in the Dunedin suburb of Mornington yesterday afternoon.
Three men attacked a 26-year-old man about 2.50pm yesterday on Eglington Rd near the intersection of Peel St, Senior Sergeant Dave Scott, of the Southern District Command Centre, said
''The incident lasted a couple of minutes and the victim received numerous bruises to his head and face area,'' Snr Sgt Scott said.
His injuries were not considered serious.
After the assault, the offenders left in a red vehicle, possibly a Honda, and drove up Mailer St.
The offenders and the victim were known to each other.
