Dog owners could be allowed to walk their pups through the Octagon if proposed changes to a central city bylaw go ahead.
Dunedin City councillors have approved consultation on a draft of the council’s dog control bylaw and policy.
The proposed changes included allowing dogs on leashes in the Octagon, Library Plaza and sections of Princes and George Sts.
