A principled gathering

Zonta Club of Dunedin-Otago past-president Marie Thomson, Zonta district 16 (New Zealand) governor Janet Hope (centre), and New Zealand Women's Empowerment Principles committee chairwoman Vicky Mee, of Auckland, attended a joint information-sharing event about the principles, and hosted by the Otago Chamber of Commerce and the Dunedin-Otago Zonta club in Dunedin last night.

The women's empowerment principles are a set of principles for organisations offering guidance on how to empower women in the workplace and community. The principles include establishing high-level corporate leadership for gender equity.

Ms Thomson said this was the first time the club had held a joint gathering with the Otago chamber.
