Columba College and John McGlashan College pupils Libby Sycamore, Alice Jones, Luke Jarvie, Rory Ferguson and Selena Ballantyne pack some of the 200 Easter baskets they have made, ready for distribution today, to elderly residents linked to the Highgate Church, Red Roofs and Yvette Williams retirement villages.
Columba College council prefect and project leader Serena Ballantyne said the Easter baskets contained a coffee mug, a lavender bag, Easter eggs, tissues and baking.
‘‘It is a nice chance to work together, but obviously the main reason for making the Easter baskets is that both schools value citizenship and our wider school families and community, so being able to give back to our community's elderly members at this special time of year is incredibly rewarding and something we see as hugely worthwhile.''
