Secondary school pupils from Otago and Southland will entertain with their own songs, in a variety of musical styles, at the Kings and Queens Performing Arts Centre, Dunedin, tomorrow night.
The "Original Night" concert will showcase the songwriting and performing ability of Otago youth, and is run in conjunction with World Youth Week and New Zealand Music Month celebrations.
Pupils will play R&B, rock, folk, country and pop.
Funds raised will help pupils from Kavanagh College and St Hildas Collegiate School attend World Youth Day events in Sydney in July.
This year, about 600,000 young people will take part in events to celebrate World Youth Day events internationally.
