Rowing quad rescued

Emergency services attended an incident involving four women in a rowing scull near the Andersons Bay causeway in Otago Harbour about 8.40am yesterday.

Two of the rowers managed to right the scull and make their way to awaiting emergency services and two women were in the water clinging to the scull.

Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond, of Dunedin, said the two women towed to safety were "a bit cold" as they had been in the water for about 20 minutes.
