Small fire in Burnside green waste

Fire crews were called to extinguish a small fire in Dunedin’s industrial area.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said two crews from Lookout Point Station were working to extinguish a small fire in a heap of green waste at a commercial premises in Mcleods Rd, Burnside, about 1.30pm.

The fire was about 1m by 1m, the spokesman said.

Fire crews were also called to the same location on May 16 and on Monday for similar incidents, which were not believed to be suspicious.
