Dunedin artist Guy Howard-Smith works on a new smokefree mural on the side of the Office Max building in Great King St.
The mural was based on a similar project in Palmerston North which used art as a way of normalising and representing a smokefree future.
The mural was the initiative of Public Health South health promotion advisers Catherine Thomas and Komal Suratwala, and WellSouth health promotion specialist Anoop Gopalakrishnan.

Mr Howard-Smith had recently completed another mural at Logan Park High School.
He expected the mural to be completed within the week.
