Two people were transported to Dunedin Hospital with moderate injuries after a vehicle clipped a parked car and rolled on to its roof.

Acting Senior Sergeant Iain Notman, of Dunedin, said police were called to the crash in Balmacewan Rd, about 9.30am on Saturday.

A 55-year-old woman was driving west "when she clipped the corner of a parked car, causing her vehicle to roll", Acting Snr Sgt Notman said.

No-one was inside the parked car at the time.

The road was closed for a short time while the scene was cleared and the vehicle re-righted and towed away, he said.

A Hato Hone St John spokesperson said they responded two ambulances to the scene.

Two patients were treated and taken to Dunedin Hospital in moderate conditions, the spokesperson said.
