Pupils from 10 schools across Dunedin were in full ukulele mode at the Ōtepoti Dunedin Ukulele Jam at Taieri College yesterday.
The children took it to another level in the second half after warming up in the first half, she said.
Music Education Otago secretary Alison Caldwell said the 14th annual jam was "amazing".

They had learned 10 different songs throughout the year, been given specialist music lessons and spent their lunchtimes rehearsing.
Another two jams at Tahuna Normal Intermediate and George Street Normal Schools are scheduled for October 21 and November 8.
