Dunedin triplets (from left) Wala Edwik, Weam Edwik, and Wafa Edwik (21), attended a picnic in Woodhaugh Gardens in Dunedin on Saturday, for volunteers and clients at language school English Language Partners.
The Edwiks, who all study health science at the University of Otago and hope to enter the medical programme, arrived in Dunedin three years ago from Tripoli, Libya.
English Language Partners Dunedin manager Paul Naidu said the picnic encouraged migrants to socialise and form networks.
Mr Naidu said the language school would be involved with teaching English to Syrian refugees, who start to arrive in Dunedin from next week.
