Head boy Ted Menzies, 17, said the plunge was an exciting event on the calendar that the boys looked forward to.
He said there were about four months left in the year before they began preparing for exams and potentially never saw each other again, so it was a good memory to have together.
Ted said the water was "absolutely freezing", but they were excited to be taking part in the tradition their chemistry teacher Jeremy White began a few years ago.
