A woman hit by a car in Brockville last night is in a serious but stable condition in Dunedin Hospital.
Senior Sergeant Craig Brown said the woman, who appeared to be in her 20s, was hit on Brockville Rd about 6pm.
A St John ambulance spokeswoman said the woman suffered serious injuries and was transported to Dunedin Hospital.
A hospital duty co-ordinator said the woman was in a serious but stable condition in the intensive care ward this afternoon.
Detours were put in place, and the serious crash unit was called.
