Worksafe advised after farmer seriously injured in quad bike crash

A farmer was left with serious injuries after a quad bike rolled near Mosgiel yesterday.

Constable Nick Turner, of Dunedin, said police were called to the crash on private property off Main South Rd about 4.50pm on Wednesday.

The quad bike rolled on a muddy embankment and into a car park, he said.

Worksafe has been advised of the incident.

The farmer received a serious head injury when ejected from the seat while riding the bike, Const Turner said.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand and St John staff also responded to the incident.
