Dan Carter falls for April Fool's prank

Dan Carter might have made a fool of many defenders on the rugby field but it seems the All Blacks first five-eighths has fallen for an April Fool's Day joke.

MasterCard released a video yesterday (April 1) saying they were retiring 2003 as a pin number for security reasons.

Martin Johnston, who lifted the William Webb Ellis trophy, features in the clip as a MasterCard ambassador telling people to "move on" from 2003.

"Former England Captain Martin Johnson tells England fans to move on from the 2003 victory, I have a feeling he hasn't," Carter wrote on Twitter.

During the clip, various World Cup paraphernalia is cited in Johnson's house (number 2003, of course), including photos of him holding the trophy, a World Cup keyring, 2003 coffee mug, snow globe and a replica trophy in the background and even pans to a digital clock which shows the time 20:03."Pin security is not to be taken lightly. Anyone using 2003 as their PIN number, it really is time to move on," Johnson says earnestly to the camera. "After all, it was 12 years ago now.

"Sport is about improving, getting better and progressing -- not basking in your past glories. If I can move on, surely everyone else can."

The video was posted on youtube with the message, "For those in doubt, we're not really retiring any PIN numbers. #AprilFools!"
