In just over a month, a plane-load of passengers will leave Auckland with full heads of hair - and arrive in Queenstown bald.
The Air New Zealand Sky High Shave flight will leave Auckland on June 27, bound for the resort to celebrate the 2010 American Express Queenstown Winter Festival.
Anyone brave enough to shave their heads mid-air in support of the Leukaemia and Blood Foundation (LBF) will receive a free flight.
About 50 seats remain on the flight.
LBF executive director Pru Etcheverry said shaving was a bold, but simple way of supporting those living with blood cancers, such as leukaemia and lymphoma, many of whom lost their hair as a result of treatments.
Participants must register with the Sky High Shave group on www.shaveforacure.co.nz, aim to raise $500 through sponsorship and call Air New Zealand to reserve their seat on the flight.
To book a seat on the June 27 flight, call Air New Zealand on 0800 747 222.
