A man was bitten by a dog while police were attending a dispute between him and his neighbour on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula today.
Police were called to the property to attend to the confrontation about 11.20am.
During the incident one of the neighbours was bitten on his leg by another man's dog, police said.
The dog has since been seized by Animal Control officers and would be impounded.
Its owner had also received some medical treatment and was assisting police with inquiries.
