A Masterton man is improving in Wellington Hospital after suffering life threatening head injuries during a domestic incident.
Korohia Steven Matiaha, 25, was today in a serious condition after he was found with critical head injuries in Masterton on Thursday.
Police found the man unconscious on the lawn. He was taken to Wellington Hospital intensive care unit where he underwent surgery for bleeding to the brain.
Two women, aged 20 and 21, appeared in the Masterton District Court yesterday charged with assault.
They were remanded in custody to reappear again on Monday and could face more serious charges.
