Police in Blenheim have put out an all-points bulletin for a McBurglar after someone stole the letter M from the town's McDonald's.
The theft happened about 4.10am yesterday, when a man took the M off the side of the building in Main Street - possibly unaware that the golden arches are not actually made of gold.
"He was last seen running south on Freswick St carrying the `M'," Constable Andrew Holdaway of Blenheim police said.
"Anyone knowing the whereabouts of the big `M' please contact the Blenheim police."
