One person is dead following a serious crash in Mairangi Bay in Auckland.
Police said the car hit the median barrier while travelling south on the motorway, coming to rest on the Constellation Drive onramp in Mairangi Bay.
It is believed that the person died as a result of a medical issue.
The motorway heading south is congested and police are warning motorists to avoid the area.
