Police are investigating a serious assault at Paremoremo, on Auckland's North Shore, this morning.
One man has been flown to Auckland Hospital with serious injuries, while another has been taken to Middlemore Hospital by ambulance with moderate injuries.
The people were found in the mudflats near Lucas Creek after the incident, about 8am.
Police were speaking with a woman at the scene, said Inspector Jacqueline Whittaker of police northern communications.
The incident occurred near Paremoremo prison.
