Waitaki MP Jacqui Dean has hit back at criticism of her Easter trading law change campaign made by Labour list MP Steve Chadwick.
Ms Chadwick criticised the delays in changes to the Easter trading laws and Ms Dean's continued lack of progress regarding the retail holiday restrictions.
The Rotorua politician has suggested some of her constituents would be disadvantaged if Easter trading laws were not changed to allow businesses to open on Easter Sunday.
Ms Dean said Ms Chadwick was being mischievous in her criticism, when it was "common knowledge" Labour's lack of support in Parliament had put the brakes on any positive Easter trading changes.
The Oamaru MP dropped her latest private member's Bill last year because it lacked supporters.
