Queenstown Mayor Jim Boult announced this afternoon his council will ban freedom camping in two popular tourist sites.
The ban at the Lake Hayes reserve and the Shotover Delta will begin in two weeks, and is likely to leave hundreds of freedom campers looking for alternatives.
