Japanese-inspired drum ensemble O-Taiko gave a Spring Celebration concert at Logan Park High School on Saturday.

The concert included a mix of traditional, recent and new pieces for drums, with several composed by members of the group and receiving their world premiere performance. The concert also featured special guests playing koto (Japanese zither).

Taiko drums are traditionally from Japan, but in more recent years, drum teams in Japan and around the world have combined elements of music and choreography in a dynamic ensemble performance that offers a spectacular display of rhythm and movement.
