A crane has been set up to repair the roof of Dunedin’s Knox Church. The church lost tiles during last week’s windy event and it has had to change venues for it Sunday service.

"With some tiles loose, we need to secure the roof as quickly as possible and make it watertight," the Rev Dr Graeme Riley said.

"Until it’s secure and watertight, we’ve decided to not hold any events, including worship, inside the church itself."

He made the call to cancel services last Sunday and change venues for this Sunday to its gathering area at the back of the church.
