Pair sought after electronics theft

Police are still after information to help identify two alleged offenders who stole electronic items from a retail store in Balclutha.

Senior Constable Tanya Grant, of Balclutha, said two men entered Johnstone Electrical in Clyde St last Saturday morning.

While one of the alleged offenders diverted staff, the second removed a Digitech radio and car event camera from the shelves.

The person placed the items in a reuseable Countdown shopping bag and left the store.Snr Const Grant said the man was of slim build and wore a blue puffer jacket with a grey hat and trousers.

He was described as about 35 years old and 176cm tall.

The Southern District Police Facebook page posted photos of the alleged offenders caught in camera footage at the store.

The post said police would like to identify the two people pictured.

Anyone with information was asked to contact the Balclutha Police Station.
