The Autumn Garden Show at Tapanui Presbyterian Church hall last Saturday had a pleasing turnout with 25 people submitting 151 entries across more than 40 categories.Judges Denis Hughes, Pat Masters, Tania Shackleton and Jenny Beattie had their work cut out deciding on the best in show awarding Best Vegetable to Tara Robinson’s pumpkin, and Best Fruit to Avis Fenton’s apples.

‘‘We were competing on the day with Wānaka A&P Show,’’ West Otago Rose Society secretary Jayne Corlett said.

‘‘But we were well supported, down to children’s entries and the colouring competition.’’
