Earlier this month the duo finished ninth overall in the rally and are now placed second in the Mainland Rally Series.
Andrew was chuffed with a great weekend of racing.
"We were absolutely thrilled to finish the rally in ninth overall," he said.
They won the Group A Challenge and the Otago Classic 4WD Rally, nine minutes ahead of runner-up, Dunedin’s Tom Bond.
"It was an exceptional weekend, Hayden did a fantastic job and it was a really good time."
Andrew had been racing with the same Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 3 for nearly 20 years, he said.
"Still getting good results with it, which is awesome."
Last year he and Hayden won the MLT Barry Robinson Memorial Wyndham Rally in the Evo.
He was grateful for the support he had received during the rally, he said.
"Thanks to my loyal service crew, a huge thanks to my sponsors for making it all happen and to the car clubs for putting on a great event."
