A girl who was pinned to the ground when a portable hockey goal fell on her at Queenstown Primary School on Wednesday remained in a stable condition in Southland Hospital last night.
The girl (7) complained of abdominal pains after of the portable hockey frame, which is estimated to have weighed 50kg, fell on her when three or four children climbed on it.
Department of Labour Invercargill service centre manager John Pannett said the department would investigate.
