Two vehicles have collided on the Kilmog on State Highway 1, north of Dunedin, this afternoon.
The accident occurred about 3.30pm and led to long queues of traffic on both sides of the crash.
It happened on the southern half end of the highway, about 1km into the passing lanes.
Details were still sketchy on how the crash occurred.
Emergency services were attending.
