Senior Sergeant Robin Hutton today said witnesses were being sought after the person was struck during a late-night disorder incident last month.
Police responded to Clyde St, near Lanark St, about 2am on Sunday, May 17 after reports that a large group was fighting and vehicles were doing burnouts.
Snr Sgt Hutton said the altercation started on Clyde St outside a community centre where one of the vehicles – believed to have four occupants – was "intentionally driven" towards groups of pedestrians, narrowly missing several people, before striking a person on Lanark St.
"The victim sustained moderate injuries which required medical treatment."
Snr Sgt Hutton said police had executed a number of search warrants in the Balclutha area, and the vehicle involved had been seized.
"Police continue to follow positive lines of enquiry to identify the driver and occupants of the vehicle."
