Police are hunting an armed robber who held up a Rotorua dairy last night.
The assailant carrying, what was describing as a butcher knife, entered the Ranolf St coroner dairy at 7pm demanding money from two attendants.
He then fled dropping a bag containing the clothing he wore to carry out the robbery.
Police today appealed for public help to catch the raider described as a young half caste male, aged 16-18, 1.57m tall, of slim built. He was wearing a dark coloured hoodie and a blue coloured bandanna.
