Prayer before sex

Thanks for publishing Kevin McKenna's wonderfully tongue-in-cheek thoughts on the Catholic Church's proposed "prayer before sex" (ODT, 11.9.09).

As a lifetime "Methylated Spiritualist" who finds himself on the wrong side of the biblical three-score-and-ten, might I suggest an additional entreaty on behalf of the incorrigible aged: "and if it please you, Lord, may we live to survive the experience".
