Six finalists have been named for the Coastal Otago Industry Training Organisation Apprentice of the Year Award.
They are: Winston Fenton, electrical engineering; Ricky Shalders, painting and decorating; Mark Cowien, engineering-heavy fabrication; Sebastian Eden, painting; Daniel Smith, painting and decorating, and Rodney Griffiths, flooring.
The awards were introduced by the Dunedin City Council, the Waitaki and Clutha district councils and the Mayors Taskforce for Jobs in 2003.
The graduation ceremony will be held at the Dunedin Town Hall on November 6.
