The Upper Clutha Children's Medical Trust is encouraging golfing enthusiasts to attend its charity auction later this month, where several big-ticket items are expected to generate plenty of interest.

A limited edition framed photo montage and golf ball signed by Tiger Woods and a one-of-a-kind framed photo montage signed by Arnold Palmer as the 1964 Masters Champion are among the golfing memorabilia which will be auctioned to raise money for the trust's work in supporting families. Rounds of golf, weekend escapes, rugby match tickets, a skydive and meal vouchers will also feature in the line-up of items.

The auction will be held at 4.30pm on Sunday, March 18, at the Wanaka Golf Club, as part of the annual three-day Hirequip Charity Classic golf tournament, which runs from March 16 to 18.

Trust member Yvonne Gale said everyone was welcome to attend the auction, regardless of whether they were involved in the tournament.
