The resource consent hearing to construct a temporary schist, gravel and gold quarry on a site near Gibbston has been adjourned until early July.
Lakes Environmental planning process manager Rachel Beer said the decision to postpone was "very last minute" and resulted from the applicant, Mark and India van der Wilt, consulting a planner who advised there were several issues that had not been addressed.
"That report just had a number of things that needed to be addressed.
"When the applicant got a planner on board the planner said, 'We really need to address these issues before the hearing'."
At this stage the hearing was tentatively set for the first week of July, pending information from the applicant.
