The two-day event, which already has riders signed up from across the country, and expressions of interest from Australia, is the brainchild of Queenstown motorcycle enthusiast Jan Timberlake.
The bikers will be supporting a good cause, with proceeds being donated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation to raise awareness of the disease and support for patients during and after treatment.
"A good friend of mine died from the disease in England a few years ago," Ms Timberlake said.
Having helped organise a rally in Glenorchy last year, she decided to follow it up with the Garstonian, which will begin on the evening of Friday, February 20.
Bands will play at the Garston pub on both Friday and Saturday nights.
"We have four really good bands lined up - The Kingston Rozer and John's Moon on Friday and the CeeGees and Hinterland on Saturday night," Ms Timberlake said.
There will be a ride to Glenorchy on Saturday.
Ms Timberlake said the rally would be "a lot of fun" for all involved.
