Paradise ducks, near Glenorchy, feature in Early Spring Snow (2011), an oil on linen by Marlborough artist Nicolas Dillon, in one of two shows at Milford Galleries Queenstown from Friday, November 19, to December 14.
Methods and muses of an esteemed glass sculptor and a self-taught birdlife painter will be revealed when they attend the public preview of their latest works at Milford Galleries Queenstown on Friday.

Evelyn Dunstan, the 2007 Ranamok Glass Prize winner, presents her first significant show of 17 glass works in "Pathways" in the Church Lane gallery. Although relatively unknown in New Zealand, the Pakuranga artist is currently exhibiting in the United States alongside top glass artists Dale Chihuly, Karen LaMonte, William Morris and Lino Tagliapietra.

Blenheim-born Nicolas Dillon, one of New Zealand's leading wildlife artists, will show 10 atmospheric paintings in "Birds - from Central to the Coast".

The Marlborough artist has exhibited internationally in galleries and museums, including the Leigh Yawkey Woodeon Art Museum in Wasau, Wisconsin.

Both artists are expected to attend the preview at the gallery on Friday from 5.30pm.

Their shows open on Saturday and run until December 14.
