The developers of a controversial Wanaka apartment complex have appealed the latest decision to decline them resource consent.
Golfside Lake Wanaka Ltd director Ian Lowe said an appeal had been lodged with the Environment Court about the resource consent decision declined by the Queenstown Lakes District Council last month.
Golfside applied to build 23 apartments in Tenby St but scaled back the application to 19 units during a hearing which attracted 23 opposing submissions. The company was disappointed at the decision to decline consent from independent commissioners Trevor Shiels and Lou Alfeld.
The council's planners had recommended to the commissioners that consent be granted, subject to conditions.
