About 170 people turned out in Queenstown last night to see Prime Minister John Key officially open the Hilton Queenstown and Kawarau Hotel.
The cocktail function was hosted by television presenter Carol Hirschfeld and guests included Deputy Prime Minister Bill English, Sir Tipene O'Regan and Queenstown Lakes Mayor Vanessa van Uden.
The Hilton group was represented by worldwide Asia Pacific president Martin Rinck and Australasia operations vice-president Ashley Spencer.
