Queenstown's answer to "fan zones" will be held in the Memorial Hall for the final of the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

Back in Black Productions has organised live music, a spit-roasted barbecue, beer, wine and cocktails for the big game, live on Sunday, October 23.

Queenstown-based five-piece covers band Mojo performs from 6.30pm until 8.30pm. The game is presented on "the biggest screen in town" at 9pm.

Dunedin DJ Tim Sargeant is on the decks from about 11.30pm until the close at 1am.

Entry costs $10 through Ticketek.

Corporate tables are available for $100 per person, which includes drinks, food, table service and a prime spot for the rugby.

7pm: Singer, pianist and trumpet player Alastair Montheath plays jazz and blues at the Friday Jazz Club in Les Alpes. Free.

10pm: Queenstown DJs Downtown Brown and Turbohag select hip-hop, drum 'n' bass and dubstep in Subculture. Free entry before midnight, $5 afterwards.

TUESDAY
8.30pm: The Queenstown Film Society ends its 2011 season with the evergreen romantic musical comedy Singin' in the Rain (1952) in Dorothy Brown's Cinema, Arrowtown.
