Start spreading the news - the classic songs and witty repartee of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis jun will be brought back to life when the "Rat Pack Returns Live" performs at Skycity Queenstown Casino next Saturday.

Musical theatre veterans Doug Kamo, of Dunedin, and Kristopher Bate and Robert Enari, both of Christchurch, will sing Come Fly With Me, That's Amore, Mack The Knife, My Way, "and all the standards people come to know," Kamo told the Queenstown Times.

"Also interspersed amongst all that, we re-create the period when Frank, Dean and Sammy were at the Sands Hotel, with lots of comedy, lots of interaction. It's not just a trip down memory lane."

The dapper trio earned a standing ovation when they performed a sold-out concert with a 30-piece orchestra in Dunedin's Glenroy Auditorium last Saturday, Kamo said.

• The Rat Pack Returns Live, Skycity Queenstown Casino, Saturday, December 5. Showtime 6.30pm to 10.30pm. R20. Tickets cost $70, which includes a three-course meal and glass of champagne, are available from the cashier's desk, or by calling the casino.
