A Royal New Zealand Air Force 757 touches down at Queenstown Airport yesterday morning. The plane landed without a hitch at 11.30am in its ''proving flight'' to determine if Boeing 757s could land at Queenstown Airport. At present the largest aircraft landing at the Frankton airport is an A320. While the air force could not provide further details on the purpose of the flight yesterday, it is understood the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will fly from Dunedin to Queenstown on a Boeing 757 on April 13 as part of the southern leg of their New Zealand tour.
