The Samsung Olympic Mobile Experience Truck has joined the opening days of the Winter Festival and features memorabilia such as Peter Snell's track running shoes, a torch from the Beijing Olympics and New Zealand Olympic history.

Truck manager Helen Fullerton has been taking 20-minute sessions, which challenge pupils to use critical learning skills in relation to New Zealand's involvement, for pupils nationwide.

Located in the Ballarat St car park, the truck opened yesterday and Ms Fullerton said it had "a few classes for local schools coming through", although anyone was welcome on board.

The truck will be in Queenstown until Monday night, open from 10am-8.30pm. Entry is free.
