'Locals day'

Dart River Jet will hold a ''locals' day'' next weekend to raise funds for a new lodge at the fire-hit Paradise Trust property near Glenorchy.

The company is offering Wakatipu residents its jet-boat and Funyak experiences at reduced prices next Saturday, with all funds going to the building project.

The offer is open to those living within the area bounded by Glenorchy, Queenstown, Arrowtown, Gibbston and Kingston, and proof of six months' residency is required.
