Man confronts motorist with knife

Wanaka police have taken a man into custody after he alledgedly confronted a motorist with a knife outside the Cardrona Hotel about 9am this morning.

Nobody was hurt and police are collecting statements from three witnesses.

It is understood the alleged offender tried to enter the hotel and the publican called the police.

The man was restrained by a member of the public.
