Broken edges of seal along a narrow stretch of Mt Aspiring Rd, between Wanaka and Glendhu Bay, were being repaired yesterday by Queenstown Lakes District Council roading contractor Downer Group.
Concerns over the safety of the road were raised by police recently, and council chief engineer Ulrich Glasner said last week the road was in line for widening.
