Local hapu blessed the pounamu - carved by Queenstown artist Luke Leaf - at the school on Monday.
Pupils who gained scholarships and/or NCEA certificates with excellence were awarded the greenstone in recognition of their efforts.
Pounamu were given to five pupils awarded seven scholarships in 2010, in music, history, mathematics, English and photography, as well as to pupils who received an NCEA certificate with excellence.
