A woman struck by a bus in Queenstown last night has died.
The 48-year-old Taiwanese woman, who was visiting the resort with her husband and two adult children, was hit by a bus about 9.30pm on Fernhill Rd.
She was taken to Lakes District Hospital by ambulance, and died there a short time later.
The bus involved in the crash is a part of the local Connectabus fleet, and was travelling along its usual route.
The deceased woman's name will be released once extended family in Taiwan has been notified.
