The Bruce Grant Youth Trust is inviting young residents of the Wakatipu Basin to apply for its next round of grants.
The trust aims to support young people looking to further themselves in the arts, sport and cultural fields.
This can range from aspirations as simple as learning a musical instrument, or taking art lessons, to trying to gain entry to international competition at the highest level.
Applicants must be aged under 25.
Individuals, as well as teams or clubs, from the Wakatipu area can apply.
The trust was created in the memory of Bruce Grant, a Queenstown adventurer, mountaineer, extreme sportsman and Olympic skier, who died after reaching the summit of K2 in the Himalayas in 1995.
In the 11 years since it was established, the Bruce Grant Youth Trust has distributed more than $200,000 to the young people of the Wakatipu among them actors, skiers, football players, horse riders, sailors, rugby players, mountain bikers, snowboarders, tennis players, ice hockey players and rowers.
Applications close on April 19, and application forms can be downloaded from www.brucegrantyouthtrust.org.nz.
